I’ve been bad with this recently. In my defense, I can only say that it’s very time-and-energy-consuming to start an new general intelligence project at home :) and it has got me day-dreaming. However, here’s a few things I’ve found interesting over the past 3 months:

• About the oldest cheese.
• Did you know Ciabatta is an 80’s invention? It’s funny to think my parents are older than ciabatta.
• Misha Gromov’s writing on trees and a particular tree, the Porphyrian tree via the history of set theory.
• Relatedly, anastomosis, via this interview with Warren McCulloch. Love his style.
• About character analysis and physiognomy.
• Two examples of RL in animals: crows that were trained to pick up cigarette butts in Sweden (via Levin’s new paper on cognition) and an octopus that was trained to play the piano
